Our Approach

PairTago is built with a privacy-by-default approach. We collect only the minimum data needed to provide the service.

We do not use tracking cookies, third-party analytics, advertising pixels, or user profiling.

What We Collect

• Account data: email address and optional display name/username when you register.
• Authentication data from social login providers (Google) — only email and name.
• Gameplay data: votes, hearts, Love Nest inventory, and related progress.
• Server logs: IP address, user agent, and request path — automatically deleted after 30 days.
• First-party analytics: anonymous pageview events and Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP) — no cookies, no user identification.

What We Do NOT Collect

• No tracking cookies of any kind.
• No Google Analytics or third-party analytics services.
• No advertising or remarketing pixels.
• No user profiles or behavioral tracking across sessions.
• No fingerprinting or cross-site tracking.
• We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties.

How We Use Data

• Provide sign-in and account management.
• Persist your game progress (votes, hearts, Love Nest).
• Prevent abuse and enforce rate limits.
• Improve site stability and user experience through anonymous performance metrics.

Data Recipients

• Hetzner Online GmbH (hosting) — servers located in the EU.
• Google (only when you use Google sign-in) — subject to Google's privacy policy.
• We do not use any other third-party data processors.

Cookies

PairTago does not set any cookies. Our analytics are fully cookieless and server-side.

Because we do not use cookies for tracking or personalization, no cookie consent banner is required.

If we introduce cookies in the future, we will update this policy and implement appropriate consent mechanisms.

Retention

Account and gameplay data is retained while your account is active, or until deletion is requested.

Server logs are automatically deleted after 30 days.

Anonymous analytics data is retained for up to 180 days.
